We welcome you to come and join this exciting safari in Tanzania that offers an opportunity for nature lovers like you to go on game drives in the majestic Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Conservation Area while staying at campsites which makes your connection with nature more profound. This 5-Day Tarangire, Ngorongoro, and Serengeti tour is yet an adventurous safari that will give you memories that last a lifetime!

Day 1: Arusha to Tarangire.

After breakfast at your accommodation in Arusha, depart for Tarangire National Park. It is Tanzania’s third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lions, leopards, cheetahs, and up to six thousand elephants. You’ll enjoy game drives with a picnic lunch. After lunch and an extensive game drive inside the park, we will drive straight to your accommodation for dinner and your overnight stay.

Day 2: Tarangire to Ngorongoro.

Exit Tarangire in a transfer game drive as you head to Ngorongoro Crater which is considered one of the Wonders of the Natural World. The crater spreads for 102 sq miles and has 2,000 ft high walls, making it virtually Noah’s ark and inhabiting almost every species of wildlife that is indigenous to East Africa. It’s one of the very rare locations in the whole continent where you can witness the black rhino. The crater has a river, several swamps, a soda lake with a great concentration of flamingos, a forest, and open plains. It’s also famous for its elephants which are the largest in the world and have huge tusks. Ngorongoro Crater is truly a Wonder of the Natural World. We will start the day very early with a transfer to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. We will descend into the crater floor for an incredible morning of wildlife in one of the most stunning places on Earth. After a fantastic afternoon game drive, ascend the crater and transfer to your accommodation. There is the possibility to downgrade or upgrade your accommodation level.

Day 3: Transfer to Serengeti National Park from Ngorongoro Crater

On this second last day, we eat breakfast early and descend 600 meters into the crater for an action-packed day of game viewing in this wildlife paradise.
Our 4×4 game drive takes us through the crater floor’s varied ecosystems, where we meet several wild animals.
We have a picnic lunch in the crater. Then we proceed to the Olduvai Gorge, a deep ravine in the East African Rift Valley. We rest for a picnic lunch and game-watching along the way. The gorge is home to one of the world’s most prominent archaeological sites, which houses some of our humanoid ancestors’ earliest fossils. We go to the Olduvai Gorge Museum to see the excavated fossils of our forefathers, including Homo erectus remains dating back 1.2 million years. After this encounter to proceed for an evening sundowner game viewing before checking in at your Serengeti lodge.

Overnight: Nyikita Lodge or similar. (Budget)
Camping option: Simba Camp

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti

After breakfast, you’ll set out for the endless open plains and stunning skies of the Serengeti as you have your Ngorongoro departure game drive. Enjoy an unforgettable Serengeti game drive and late evening game drive as you meet some of the profound wildlife of Serengeti including the wildebeest.

This afternoon is reserved for game drives through the iconic Serengeti National Park. This vast wildlife reserve is famous for the same annual migration as Masai Mara, in which over a million herbivores migrate south from the northern to southern Serengeti plains during the short rainy season (October and November), returning north after the long rainy season (April to June).
The Serengeti National Park provides excellent wildlife viewing all year, so we should see plenty of plains game and predators roaming the plains.
Overnight: Nyitika Lodge or similar ( Budget)
Camping option: Africa Safari Ikoma (Safari tent)

Day 5: Serengeti Safari & Transfer to Arusha/Kilimanjaro (Extended day)
On this day, we suggest a very early wake-up in order to do an early morning game drive (when the animals are more active) and see one of the best sunrises you’ll ever witness. It’s really one of the most beautiful experiences to have. After the game drive, we will return to the camp for a rewarding brunch. Afterward, we’ll proceed to the airstrip for your flight back to Arusha, or whatever your next amazing destination might be (i.e. Zanzibar). Alternatively, instead of this early morning game drive, you may choose to stay at the camp for a bit of relaxation.
